What To Expect

Loss isn't only about death. It's about the things, people, identities and futures we thought would always be there.

Many people tell me they feel nervous before reaching out for therapy.

That's completely understandable.

Taking the first step can feel difficult, particularly when you're already carrying the weight of grief, loss or significant life changes.

You don't need to have all the answers before making contact; you don't need to know exactly what to say; and you don't need to be in crisis to benefit from support.

Therapy isn't about fixing you or telling you how to feel. It's about creating a space where you can be heard, understood and supported as you navigate life's challenges.

Whether we work together for a few months or a longer period of time, my aim is to help you feel less alone, more connected to yourself and better equipped to face whatever comes next.

What therapy with me feels like

Building a trusting therapeutic relationship takes time.

My aim is to offer a calm, accepting and compassionate space where you feel heard, understood and supported, without pressure or judgement.

Together, we'll explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you, helping you gain greater understanding of yourself, your emotions and the challenges you're facing.

I hope that when you leave each session, you feel just a little lighter than when you arrived.

Sometimes that's enough to help you take the next step.

What happens next?

If you decide to get in touch, we'll begin with a free introductory conversation.

This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have and explore whether working together feels like the right fit.

There is no obligation to continue.

Finding the right therapist is important and I encourage you to choose someone you feel comfortable with.

If we decide to work together, we'll arrange your first session and begin building a therapeutic relationship that supports your individual needs and goals.

Are you ready to take the first step?

Whether you're experiencing grief, bereavement, baby loss or another significant life transition, you don't have to navigate it alone.

I'd be happy to arrange a free introductory conversation so we can talk about what you're looking for and whether working together feels like the right fit.
